 Alborada is a breathtaking, beautiful chestnut mare.  She is extremely gentle and has been ridden by kids and 70+ aged women.  I purchased her as a yearling and she has had 2 years of professional training.  Her training and responsiveness are amazing....just think it and she does it.  She was shown at nationals 1 year and received honorable mention (7th) out of 42 horses at age 2 in pleasure.  She won performance filly that same year at Asheville.  Due to her late birthday in December she was a 2 year old showing in 3 year old classes. 

Since then I have been enjoying trail riding her and breeding her...She has had 1 foal (now a yearling).  She is a national quality mare with brio.  Many kids have ridden her both at my farm and on trail rides, as well as other friends and beginners that have ridden her.  I didn't check the beginner item though because since she does has brio at the corto, a beginner or non-paso person might be intimidated because she does have power although she is very gentle.  She would prefer to walk relaxed all day long, but since she has more of a "showy" performance corto and good hocks, under saddle you feel the power of her although she is completely controllable.  Her youngest rider was 5 years old and she did perfectly.  

She will stand all day to be groomed.  She is very easy for the farrier and vet, worming, etc.  She easily travels but does not like backing out of a trailer...she goes in fine, but prefers to come out face first...it's not an issue for me as I have a slant trailer so I just bring her out head first.  She also is a fantastic brood mare...her baby is amazing and she has excellent blood lines...a full sister to Prometido de Selecta. I keep front shoes on her due to all the trail riding I do in different terrains.  She has been trail ridden in many areas all around Florida including hills, sand flats, water, etc. with giant saddle bags and goes everywhere easily.  

She will easily stay in a stall, paddock, or pasture.  She currently is in a pasture with 3 other mares and gets along with everyone.  She is a very large, big boned girl with a quarter horse look and a nice big muscular butt.  Her confirmation and personality are amazing. This is a great horse for someone who is a beginner but still wants to feel the paso engine every once in a while.
